IMAGINE, BELIEVE and BUILD a SUCCESSFUL FUTURE!
Stea Association, in partnership with Asociația Pirita Children – Copiii din Pirita Association implements the project entitled ” I CAN too! IMAGINE, BELIEVE and BUILD a SUCCESSFUL FUTURE!”, with the financial support of the Active Citizens Fund Romania, programme funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021.
The aim of the project is to increase the capacity to build a successful future and support the inclusion of 110 vulnerable children and young people from two of the most marginalized communities in Satu Mare and Baia Mare over 24 months by creating strong intervention mechanisms to support Roma empowerment, acting synergistically on reducing gaps in access to education, development opportunities, participation in community life and increasing Roma acceptance.
The project with a total value of 151.441,60 Euro has a duration of 24 months and will be implemented from 01.03.2022 to 29.02.2024 in Satu Mare and Baia Mare.
Working together for a green, competitive and inclusive Europe.
Working on the creation of programmes through which children and young people from vulnerable groups interact with different professionals passionate about their professions, our project ensures a strong personal development intervention so that these children and young people become aware of their potential, discover their talents, build aspirations for a successful future and develop key competences for the successful realization of their future plans.
Our project proposes to add a dimension of civic awareness and empowerment by creating concrete opportunities for children and young people in the target group to go through experiences similar to that of becoming members of a civil society organization, building and implementing small projects for the benefit of other vulnerable people or causes with an impact on society.
The challenge that our project takes on is to broaden the thinking horizons of the children and young people in the target group, to help them discover their potential and enable them to realize that the limits of their aspirations are self-determined. ” I can too!” is the „slogan” instilled in all those involved in the project, and mottos such as: „A poor man is not one without money. A poor man is one who has no dream” – Henry Ford – will be the basis of the empowerment programme built through this project, as the empowerment intervention of both vulnerable groups and all project stakeholders will be a key dimension present at all levels of intervention.
The project builds a real support network around children and young people from vulnerable groups with the mission of empowering them. It will provide the appropriate support that these children and young people need to come to believe in their own capacities, to form a successful future image in line with their talents and aspirations and to develop key competences to make it happen.
The project is implemented by Stea Association in partnership with Pirita Children Association – Children of Pirita and benefits from a 150,000 euros grant from Active Citizens Fund Romania, programme funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through EEA Grants 2014-2021.
